Academic Center of Excellence (ACE) Program Many leading academic institutions worldwide have already included the Definiens Enterprise Image Intelligence™ Suite into their research and curricula. Numerous publications have described the technology as a key component in their approaches to solve new scientific problems though quantifiable image intelligence.
The Definiens Academic Center of Excellence (ACE) Program is a selectively targeted University program providing two-way benefits for selected Academic Centers of Excellence and Definiens. A Definiens Academic Center of Excellence promotes innovative research, teaching, and learning practices that establish it as a thought leader in the application of image intelligence to groundbreaking science.
The ACE program gives selected academic and educational institutions strong incentives and support in applying and training Definiens product portfolio. In return, Definiens expects certain commitments, academic standards and outputs in applying this technology to innovative research and in educating young scientists. How do I get started?
In order to become a Definiens Academic Center of Excellence, applicants should fulfil the following conditions:
- Status of a public or private funded academic/educational institution.
- Specific mission to support breakthrough research using Definiens Enterprise Image Intelligence™ Suite and to promote its application through education and/or basic non-profit research.
- Applicants must have already gained experience with the use of Definiens software. Experience is likely to include:
- Use of Definiens products at least for 12months,
- Active User base of at least five 5 Definiens Developer licenses.
- Publication at least 2 research and/or general overview papers using Definiens products.
- Ongoing thesis work (master, diploma, doctorate) using Definiens products and technology.
The status of a Definiens Academic Center of Excellence will be granted only by Definiens and a formal written agreement. It will be valid for a period of one year, with a yearly renewal, subject to fulfilling the duties and deliverables.
