Structural Analysis of Glomeruli

Automatic detection of glomeruli, tuft, bowman space, and sub-structures in H&E-stained rat kidney tissue; to be used as a samples for the segmentation of complex, composed structures which are extremely difficult to detect using conventional image analysis.

Revealing a nested hierarchy, the entities are represented hierarchically within the Cognition Network allowing excellent quantification and readout contexts, as well as compositional and structural aspects. Running this application over a stack of slides produces a detailed, high-dimensional set of statistics for each individual glomerulus, for all glomeruli within one slide, and for all glomeruli within the stack.
