The 94th annual conference of the "DGP" takes place again together with the 10th "Bundeskongress Pathologie" within the framework of the "3. Woche der Pathologie."

Topics to be discussed include: Molecular Pathology, Hematopathology, and Mammary Pathology.

The "Société Française de Pathologie Toxicologique" (French Society of toxicologic pathology) is a non-profit association (french official journal dated 22th March, 2003). The members of the SFPT are scientists working in the field of toxicologic pathology.

Annual meetings are organized to promote the contacts between members and to exchange up-to-date scientific informations.

The 3rd Conference on Systems Biology of Mammalian Cells (SBMC) continues a series of conferences organized by the German HepatoSys Network. SBMC 2010 will present cutting-edge experimental, theoretical and computational approaches to unravel the design principles underlying a wide range of regulatory processes in mammalian cells, including metabolic pathways, genetic and signalling networks, and disease promoting mechanisms. SBMC 2010 spans the range from basic to biomedical research and towards industrial application.

The 2010 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) will focus on advancing quality through Innovation. Patricipants will join colleagues from around the world and participate in discussions on the latest innovations in research, quality, practice, and technology in cancer. 2010 ASCO Annual Meeting is scheduled for June 4-8, 2010 in Chicago, IL.

Aug 31 - Sep 03, 2010Intercongress Meeting of the European Society of Pathology, Krakow

The Intercongress Meeting of the European Society of Pathology will host participants from all over Europe. The participants are practicing pathologists, academic pathologists and researchers. In particular, pathology laboratory directors and heads of pathology departments will widely be represented.

The intercongress is by rule dedicated to meeting of the ESP working groups and associated societies, encompassing almost all specific fields of pathology, including hottest topics. Molecular biology, cytogenetics and telepathology will also be extensively discussed in separate sessions.

Special attention will be paid to the role of the pathologist in prognosis and treatment of cancer patients, including the results of the newest research on diagnostic tests, allowing proper selection of patients for targeted therapy.

The international symposium focuses on advanced imaging techniques in biomedicine - from molecules to organisms. The main idea of the symposium is to bring together globally recognized experts in various imaging techniques closely linked to a frontier research in molecular and cell biology, molecular medicine and pathology. Definiens will participate in Workshop III Microscopy in diagnostics and clinical treatment, Thu Sept 2, 2010, 5:00 pm - 5:15 pm: Guenter Schmidt: Identification of prognostic factors using quantitative image analysis of HER2 expression by immunohistochemistry (IHC) in adenocarcinoma of the oesophagogastric junction. The European Congress of Radiology  (ECR)  is one of the largest medical meetings in Europe and the second-largest radiological meeting in the world. Participants include radiology professionals, technichians, radiographers and industry representatives. ECR 2010 will be held in the Austria Center Vienna, Bruno-Kreisky-Platz 1, 1220 Vienna, Austria. Definiens booth can be found on the First Level Gallery, booth number 606.
