The detailed morphology of a biological system allows insights into its functions and dynamics. But image data can only add value if it can be transformed into knowledge.

Future Vision

Planet Action is a non-profit collaborative initiative launched in June 2007 by Spot Image, an industry leader in satellite imagery, and joined by international and regional partners such as ESRI and Infoterra. Planet Action is supported by UNESCO.
Definiens joined Planet Action, an initiative to support actions about climate change. Planet Action encourages the earth observation industry and communities of geographic information professionals to help tackle the issues related to climate change.
