Definiens signs R&D contract with Defence Research and Development Canada


Munich, Germany, February 14, 2005 - Definiens, a worldwide leader in the development of satellite image classification technology, has signed a research and development agreement with Defence Research and Development Canada - Valcartier, an agency of the Canada National Defence ministry. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Under the terms of the contract, Definiens will use its advanced image classification technology to design and prototype improved processing techniques for automated target recognition from aerial photographs.
