Definiens appoints Brock & Michelsen as eCognition reseller for Scandinavia and the Baltic region

Munich, Germany, November 18, 2004 - Definiens is pleased to announce the signing of a new reseller for its eCognition product suite for Scandinavia and the Baltic region – Brock & Michelsen A/S.

This agreement will allow Definiens to further strengthen its sales and support of eCognition software across Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latviam and Lithuania. While Sweden and Finland will become part of Brock & Michelsen's sales territory in April 2005.

"The addition of Brock & Michelsen as a new partner and reseller of our eCognition products enhances our presence in Scandinavia and the Baltic states," said Martin Ehrhardt, VP Sales & Marketing Earth Business Unit of Definiens. "With Brock & Michelsen's longstanding regional experience in the photogrammetric and geomatics market we are confident that eCognition will find it's rightful place in the regions's remote sensing industry", he added.

Brock & Michelsen A/S, based in Birkerød, Denmark is a family-owned company, which was founded in 1905. For more than 50 years Brock & Michelsen A/S has sold photogrammetric products from Zeiss in Denmark and is now a reseller of Z/I Imaging's photogrammetric products and European Space Imaging's Ikonos imagery.

and analysis. With the top professional eCognition software, we are also able to give the customers the possibility to fullfill their requirements, due to it's unique algorithms" said Division Manager Peter Byrn and Sales director Jørgen Brock.

Definiens and Brock & Michelsen will embark on their collaboration at Brock & Michelsen's annual user meeting NOPHOM 2004 in Oslo, Norway, November 18-19, 2004.
