New eCognition 4.0 Marks Another Step Forward in Image Classification

Munich, Germany, March 11, 2004 - Definiens announces the release of eCognition Professional 4.0, the latest version of its unique software for object-oriented image classification.

Highlights of the eCognition 4.0 release include large data handling, improved manual editing of objects, no data handling, additional object attributes for classification, and several minor improvements to the interface, handling, and workflow.

The new release was presented to eCognition users and business partners at the 3rd International eCognition User Meeting in Munich in the first week of March and shipping of the software will start immediately.

The new eCognition is available at preferred conditions for education and research users. A free trial version of eCognition 4.0 is available on the Definiens Web site www.definiens.com
